Security

How we protect your conversations.

Intridium is built so that only the right people can reach you, your data is encrypted, and you stay in control of your account.

  • Messages and files are encrypted while they travel and while they are stored.
  • Only friends can message you, and you control what others see.
  • End-to-end encryption for 1:1 chats and private Docks is in final testing.

Encrypted on the way and at rest.

Your messages and files are encrypted when they travel and when they are stored, using AES-256. That means anyone who intercepted them, or got hold of the disks they sit on, would see only scrambled data.

End-to-end encryption is almost here.

It is in final testing for 1:1 chats and private Docks, with safety numbers you can check and a recovery phrase to bring your messages to a new phone.

What end-to-end will mean →

Fewer ways in for strangers.

Chats start with a friend request. People who are not your friends can find you only by your exact username, you can block anyone, and location data is removed from photos you send.

You control your sessions.

See every device signed in to your account and sign any of them out.

Your privacy switches.

Hide your online status, last seen, typing and read receipts, or turn on stealth mode to hide them all at once.

Leaving is real.

Delete your account and it is gone after 30 days. Change your mind in that window by signing back in.
